VIA Strengths Conference Workshop

The key objectives :
To appreciate and understand one's own character strengths as a source of power and a path to one's own human potential.

Our signature strengths refer to those character strengths that are most essential to who we are. Character strengths and virtues is regarded as the backbone of the science of positive psychology. Our strengths are the path to personal and professional flourishing and the positive wellbeing PERMA framework.
They are the path to increased positive emotions, the link to engagement and intrinsic motivation, are at the heart of building authentic relationships. When we use our strengths positively at work, in our community or within our families we feel authentic, enagaged.
They are the foundation of a life of purpose and help us to bring meaning to our world.

They are most often at play when we have our greatest achievements.

Recent Testimonial

“We had the great pleasure of having Jane deliver a Strengths workshop to our Perquisite Women in Business Group….and we LOVED it. The session was interactive, specifically tailored for our group and provided so much “food for thought”. The survey results provided an excellent platform for group discussion, and Jane built some great activities around them to ensure each participant came away with a solid understanding of their own strengths and how to harness them. We would not hesitate to recommend Jane and will certainly be inviting her back again for future programs”.

Further Insights into Character Strengths research:

Think about a time in your life when you were at your very best. What qualities enabled you to perform like that?

While there are numerous talents and strengths that humans can possess, Character Strengths and Virtues are ones that humanity universally values. When Dr Martin Seligman and the late Christopher Peterson sought to discover and classify commonly held strengths and virtues across cultures, they created a classification of core virtues that humans morally value no matter their cultural, racial, and religious differences.

Take the VIA Signature Strengths questionnaire http://wundertraining.pro.viasurvey.org/

Current research indicates that you are most likely to value a job, relationship, hobby or institution that aligns with your core signature strengths and allows you to regularly utilise them.

In fact, research indicates that one of the best ways to boost your long-term happiness is to use your strengths in new ways and situations, rather than focusing on your weaknesses.
This is well in keeping with the philosophy and focus on the positives in your life, not the negative!

* People who use their strengths every day are six times more likely to be engaged on the job.
* Teams that focus on strengths every day have 12.5% greater productivity.
* Teams that receive strengths feedback have 8.9% greater profitability.
* Leaders who focus on strengths are 86% more likely to have above average results.
